Create more funding for childhood cancer research

Created by L.V. on November 30, 2013

Cancer- it affects kids too! Out of our whole United States cancer research budget, 4% is spent on childhood cancer research. Nothing is happening. Children are dying- an average of 7 a day! 7! 7 future moms and dads, sisters and brothers, innocent children. Only 1 drug has been approved for childhood cancer research in 20 years. Most treatments can permanently damage a child's bodily systems as well. Childhood cancer survivors are even more at risk to get cancer as an adult as well. Children lose so much life, an average of 69 years. 7X69= About 483 years of life lost each day. This is the leading cause of death in children and teenagers. Please sign in honor of all those in the fight, survivors and angels alike. Thank you.
