Create a motion to end the use of the "Respondeat Superior" legal doctrine in civil cases

Created by R.W. on February 08, 2013

Private citizens working for an employee have and maintain the right to be an an individual, yet in a case where a waiter/waitress may have placed a derogatory comment on a customer's receipt, it is not the individual who is sued for this, but rather the establishment itself..often times losing job-creating capital.

A recent story of an employee dressed as a cartoon character that is being accused of racism in regards to patrons of the business, the individual may or may not have made a racist-minded decision but it is the company that is being sued, not the person who committed the act.

Please introduce legislation that holds private citizens accountable for their own actions and shields employers and businesses from being held responsible for the individual decisions of employees.
