We need an 800 number where people can call to offer assistance and people can call to get assistance. We have the resources in this country where no one should ever have to go hungry or homeless why not put them to work for us. It could be sorted by state and people who need and offer help could connect. It can also be a resource for agencies already doing the work to get help and offer help as well.
