Create a National Animal Abuse Registry

I believe that creating a public national registry similar to the one we have for sex offenders would help prevent abusers from obtaining more animals through shelters or breeders. It would also help private citizens who need to re-home an animal in a safe home.
Please strongly encourage the Justice Department and the USDA, specifically Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to facilitate the creation of such a registry.
Help animal lovers nationwide protect those who can't speak for themselves.
