Only three states as of November 2016 have an animal abuse registry. This does nothing because all an animal abuser has to do is drive to the next state to get an animal. We are calling for there to be a national animal abuse registry that is public access. Anyone on the registry (age 16 and older) will not be allowed to own, be around, or work with animals until after a psychiatrist and psychologist have determined great behavioral improvement. This includes but is not limited to: factory farms, dog fighting, puppy mills, starving horses, grinding male chicks alive, inhumane (not quick) slaughter, and forcing cats and dogs to stay outside in winter weather for long periods of time.
