Create a National Animal Abuse Registry. If you dismiss & ignore the suffering of animals, where's your humanity?

Have you ever read a “heartwarming” story about a lucky animal rescued from neglect and abuse? I haven’t because there’s nothing heartwarming about it. The fact is, there’s little or no consequence for animal abusers. The animals are taken away from the abuse but that doesn’t erase the abusers mentality toward animals and it doesn’t prevent future abuse of animals. Creating a registry would be the first step in reeducating abusers about animal welfare. Registering as an animal abuser sends the message that animal abuse is disgusting, vulgar and completely unacceptable. Animal abuse can be a gateway to other disturbing behavior and should be tracked and monitored for the well-being of our society.
