We the people wish to create a National Animal Rescue Day to recognize the tireless efforts of the thousands upon thousands of citizen volunteers who devote their lives and commit their resources to the never ending rescue battle. These average Americans work quietly and thanklessly to care for and find loving homes for those animals who, through no fault of their own, find themselves scare, alone perhaps abuse, often neglected and at risk.
