create a National Commission for Federal Legislative Districts to take over redistricting duties from the states.

Created by C.S. on November 14, 2012

The Republicans have had a secret campaign and have hijacked the redistricting process at the state level across the nation. Instead of fairly distributing the voters into competitive districts, or gouping people by geography or neighborhoods, instead, they have created complex "safe" republican districts that dilute minority and democratic votes. In all fairness, this gerrymandering has been around for awhile, however with the advent of computer algorithms, has been taken to a new and devious level. Since these are districts created for the US House of Representatives, it seems only fair that the US Government should be allowed to determine these districts. A bipartisan commission can be set up to ensure fairness. Please stop this voter suppression, and sign the petition.
