Create a National Consumption Tax to eventually replace the Earned Income Tax

The primary objective of the 21st Century must be about the way taxes are collected. Everyone should be paying taxes according to their ability to pay them and the only fair way is to collect taxes when people spend their money not when they earn it.
Call it "crowd sourcing" if you want to. The problems in this country should be borne by all people not just a few and the folks with the most money to spend should be paying the most taxes.
Pay an extra penny on each dollar spent to pay for healthcare for everyone.
Pay an extra penny on each dollar spent to pay for social security for everyone.
Pay an extra penny on the dollar for K-14 education for everyone.
An extra penny to eliminate homelessness, hunger, national debt, national security.
We are all in this together and need to start now.
