Buildings are the number one energy user--additionally their inner mechanics and aesthetic value many times determines the success or failure.
Additionally our infrastructure is in need of repair, but there is no easy way to find out what bridges/tunnels/sewers are in need of repair.
Using a combination of open data, user data, maps and more, I propose the creation of a national building database where citizens can look up what buildings use the most energy, what buildings are eyesores and what buildings are a-okay. By illuminating our built environment we can make smarter changes.
