CREATE A NATIONAL DATABASE OF COMPROMISED EDUCATORS AND MANDATE THAT ALL DISTRICTS CHECK BEFORE HIRING

Teachers who have compromised backgrounds, such as criminal records, or fired in a district in another state, cross state lines and are able to be hired because school districts only perform a local check. Our children are our most important resource, and deserve the very best. Also there are many passionate and well qualified educators needing and deserving of an opportunity and these less than ideal candidates are hired and prevent our children from having access to real talent. This also will help keep our children safe.
