We the people request that the Obama administration, as part of any gun control legislation, create a publicly available national database to track the lawful defensive use of firearms against perpetrators on the street, in businesses or to thwart home invasions, car jackings or muggings.
Any police report containing this information should be forwarded to the Dept Of Homeland Security and contain a minimum
1. The demographics of the alleged victim(s) and perpetrator(s) including the age, sex and race at a minimum.
2. The number of alleged perpetrators that were thwarted as a result of the defensive use of firearms.
3. The type of crime and the geographic location.
5. The firearms or other weapons involved.
4. The outcome (good or bad) as determined by the official police report.
