create a national day of mourning for those killed by gun violence whether by individual actions or police activity.

Created by R.D. on June 21, 2015

The past several years have brought a sad notoriety to those who would kill unarmed African Americans and others, children, or innocent bystanders whether by individual action or official police activity. We are disgusted and heartsick over these tragic murders and urge President Obama to create a national day of mourning to honor these victims and to call attention to the needless and heedless use of force against the most vulnerable in our population.
Whether as a result of institutional or individual racism, untreated mental illness or other reasons, gun violence must be stopped and those responsible for these murders be called to justice.
