1. There should be nationally uniform guidelines to purchase, own and carry firearms. Anyone mentally sound, without violent convictions and 18 or over has the right to purchase and store firearms and ammunition subject to safety restrictions for fire, theft and the safety of children.
2. Concealed carry permits shall be issued by nationally consistent guidelines and only denied in the case of previous conviction or mental impairment. These rights can be withdrawn temporarily in the case of a judicially deemed threat until a formal trial is held.
3. Unique national identifiers shall be issued for every citizen for purposes of voting and weapons ownership.
4. The improvement in electronic communications means waiting periods should be reduced to minutes not days.
