In the future a countries wealth and prosperity will be determined by the amount of fresh water available for industry, agriculture and cities. A national pipeline system linking all states will allow the country to move excess water to areas in desperate need. Moving potential flood waters to areas of drought could mitigate water damage and help with a faster recovery. Costal States would have plants for the conversion of sea water to fresh water. Climate change in the future would not be able to turn our rich farm areas into the dust bowls of the past. Cities would not be forced to use draconian limits on its people and industry in periods of long drought. The building of this system would provide construction and engineering jobs in every state.
