create an national holiday called something along the lines of "Be Honest and Tell People What You Really Think Day."

Created by D.B. on June 21, 2013

We move to create an annual holiday in which Americans will be able to cast aside social niceties and conventions in order to honestly and directly tell one another what they think, allowing a healthy discourse on how we relate to one another in our various social roles. People who fear they may be offended, may chose to stay home and minimally interact with others on this holiday.

This holiday would create two primary benefits for the US. First, it would create an annual forum for Americans to be honest and up front with one another in a way that is nationally sanctioned, preventing them from bottling frustrations, which can have volatile consequences over time. Lastly, a desire to avoid negative commentary on this holiday, would lead Americans to re-evaluate the way they treat others.
