Create a National Holiday Honoring Historical Women's Rights leaders, and to acknowledge the role of Women's Suffrage.

Created by L.H. on September 29, 2012

America needs to acknowledge Women's Rights as a powerful force in securing Human Rights. America is a nation empowered by activism, founded on liberty and freedom, and dedicated to changing with the voice and needs of the people. It has long been a tradition to honor those who played a key role in forming the primary concepts that govern us by establishing a National Holiday. Though an amendment to the Bill of Rights has declared women have the right to equality, not one of those National Holidays currently celebrated honors the work of a woman in establishing those rights. We have so very many women to thank for opening our eyes to injustice and the need for equality. Please join the movement for a National Women's Rights holiday by signing this petition.
