Create a national holiday or day of observance to honor and celebrate First Ladies every year

Created by S.P. on March 19, 2014

For centuries women have played an important part of building the foundation of this country, and have served in the most important role of our nation as First Lady. For many years we have honored and celebrated our Presidents, and leaders who have made significant contributions to society. First Ladies serve as a role model to the world, support worthy causes, and set standards that are marked in history. First Ladies need to be honored and celebrated on a grand level, for their service and commitment to worthy causes that benefit our country and communities. I created the web site www.firstladiesday.com to pay tribute to First Ladies. Please support making January 17th (the birthday of the current First Lady, Michelle Obama) a holiday, or the 3rd Friday of every January.
