This petition's purpose is to try and establish a national holiday in remembrance of Harambe the silverback gorilla, located at the Cincinnati Zoo, that was wrongfully shot and murdered. The decision to "shoot-to-kill" Harambe was due to the fact that a neglectful parent failed to monitor and secure their child. Harambe spent the entirety of his life enclosed in zoos to serve as a beautiful display of nature. He deserves to be remembered, for he has sparked a revolution in the community which has served to increase the awareness of life's delicacy and the beauty of Mother Nature.
