Create a National Hotline whereby citizens may confidentially report concerns about potentially dangerous individuals.

Often family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers are concerned about the emotional instability of someone they know; but they do not know where to turn for assistance. If there were a National Hotline where people could turn for advice, or to report a potentially dangerous situation, perhaps horrific events such as those we have recently witnessed in Newtown, Aurora and Oregan could be avoided. Because reporters would not want to stigmatize their loved ones, or to jeopardize their own safety, great care would be needed to protect all parties' anonymity. Also, criminal penalties must be assigned to anyone who would falsely and maliciously report such a concern. Law Enforcement contact/Mental Health screening would then take place, and possibly revocation of rights to own fireams.
