Create a National Identification Card Program

Requiring each citizen of the United States to possess a National ID Card would aid in the following areas:
1. Would show that the person in possession of this card is a legal resident of the United States and unless so marked on the card, is authorized to vote in State and Federal Elections.
2. Could be used to show that the holder of the card is a valid consumer in the Affordable Health Care Act program and is authorized access to such.
3. When marked NOT AUTHORIZED or AUTHORIZED to vote due to felonies or other legal issues this card could be used during private transactions at gun shows or other private transactions to show the seller if the purchaser is allowed to purchase firearms or not.
Forged Cards should be dealt with severely due to the added features that could be included.
