The Department of Labor should create a website and database that displays all current job openings in America - both public sector and private. A law should be passed that will require employers to post basic information about an open position they have available that will include the start date, location, skills and education required, the job duties and the industry it relates to. This will help the unemployed find work where it is available, it will allow employers to find the most qualified applicant throughout the U.S., and it would allow the government to know which industries are hiring, so it can focus job training dollars in those sectors. There will be no cost to employers to use the website.
