Create a national law which protects whistleblowers and decriminalize those who, out of genuine concern, spoke out.

Created by J.F. on July 05, 2013

A whistleblower acts as a safety valve releasing the dangerous pressure from within an organization. Social psychologists have studied these whistleblowers and their actions, citing many sources. One of the classic textbook examples comes from the Nixon era and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

When any powerful, or otherwise, organization or leaders lose their ability to be questioned, they begin down a dangerous road to destruction.

Using the US leadership, failures at a national level means coalitions between other national leaders will weaken, fail or become too expensive to maintain. Instead, national leaders should strive toward transparency and even praise whistleblowers for the greater good.

We, the American people, need to protect our whistleblowers and unite together with them.
