Hear ye, fellow Americans! Long have we, THE PEOPLE held true to our Thanksgiving holiday, a wholly American holiday that ALL, (Atheist,Christian,NativeAmerican,sea turtle,ect) share to remind us of our heritage & history, both good & bad.
However, it is threatened by greedy big retailers, forcing workers to toil on that very day, degrading not only family values, but also making us forget our past, so that big retailers can sell off the shelf stuff of inferior quality which will break anyway. Even research shows that this push by retailers has no effect on their bottom line!
So I implore you Mr. President, support a mandate to close ALL large stores on Thanksgiving, creating a National Blue Law on that day to at least close LARGE STORES to protect this day of remembrance & reflection.
