Create a National Monument on the land where the Battle of Wounded Knee took place.

Created by M.D. on April 12, 2013

Creating a National Monument on the land where the Battle of Wounded Knee took place in 1890 will ensures future generations will remember this massacre. This location saw at least 150 Lakota Indians loose their lives at the hands of the United States Army Seventh Cavalry. A National Monument on this location will ensure history is not forgotten and those who lost their lives that day did not die in vain. This National Monument would also allow all future generations of Americans to remember and learn from the mistakes made in the past.
