Create a national park dedicated to The Deaf Community.

Created by R.G. on May 09, 2013

This petition is to give a space for The Deaf Community to have a national park for their own. Many would say that all national parks are for all people until you are deaf and try to become a park ranger and are refused four times because you are deaf. This is a ridiculous notion, and if a deaf person cannot be a park ranger in an already established national park because of the ignorance of the hearing: then allow a national park to be created so that a deaf person may fulfill the dream of becoming a park ranger: or any of the other myriad of jobs that might be obtained within a national park. Of course you would name the park after the first deaf president of Gallaudet University, Dr. I King Jordan.
