With the recent deaths of the firefighters in Arizona, now is the perfect time to commission a memorial dedicated to those who risk their lives to keep the public safe. While there are many memorials for the soldiers who fight for our freedom abroad, we lack a national monument for those who keep our people safe at home. It is time to build a memorial for the heroes of the homeland and show our appreciation for their sacrifice.
