A US National Science Day would provide an opportunity for Americans of all ages to participate in focused events and activities that showcase science and technology, and would encourage younger people to consider continuing studies in science.
While several countries, including China, Britain, Australia, Canada, and Norway have national science weeks, online research shows that India seems to be the only country with a National Science Day.
We believe that a US National Science Day would be a great educational, economic, and symbolic way to reaffirm America’s commitment as a leader in scientific discovery.
