There may be a Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but we still don't have a day to commemorate the people who carried this nation on their backs for more than a century. Sign this petition to create a federal holiday for the slaves, for the force and labor and torture they went through; they deserve more than a holiday, but right now let's start with this.
