Create a National Speed Limit on Highways with 4 OR MORE LANES and with NO DIRECT Residential Access to a Min. of 75mph

Created by B.K. on April 09, 2013

Driving is a part of everyday life in the United States and precautions have been taken by our nation to ensure motorists safety. In 1974 the National Speed Limit of 55mph was created not to ensure safety but to save on fuel economy due to an oil spill. In 1995 the National Speed Limit was abolished and control was given to the state governments. Now no national speed limit has been set and living in Police States such as PA has become a burden to motorists. Vehicles have come a long way since 1974 and yet some states still refuse to raise the speed limits. That is why WE THE PEOPLE propose a National Speed Limit of 75mph on four or more lane highways with no direct residential access to be made. Our government needs to stop looking at motorist for revenue and start caring about our safety
