Create a national tuition fee for all public universities and colleges

Created by K.P. on March 27, 2014

Universities and colleges in the United States are far too costly. The debt of college graduates keeps rising, in 2004 the average debt was $18,750. In 2008 the average debt was $23,450. In 2012 it is up to $29,400.

It is cheaper for an American student to finish their high education in Europe than their own country. To name a few countries, Switzerland, Denmark, and France, typically cost under 188-300 Euros a year.

The United States has the power to lower tuition costs, making it more affordable for students to receive higher education. If the tuition costs were nationally lower, at public colleges and universities, young graduates would not be meeting a life full of debt and spending the next 10 years trying to pay it off.
