Similar to what has been done regionally, encourage people to surrender guns in exchange for a debit card that would expire in 90 days. This would immediately boost the economy and reduce the number of guns on the street, both legal and illegal. The program would be anonymous and voluntary. The new gun policies currently being debated do nothing to address the issue of the guns that are currently out there, only gun sales going forward.
