For years vampires have reigned as America's most popular horror creatures. With this petition, we the people say no more. We believe it is now time for werewolves to get their just due. Movies such as The Howling, Silver Bullet and The Wolfman will no longer be looked down upon by fans of True Blood, Twilight and Dracula. With the new government-backed Werewolf Appreciation Day, we the people vow to recognize werewolves as the favorite creatures of this generation. We will hereby rabidly support such books as The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice, Tamed by Douglas Brown, and Stephen King's Cycle of the Werewolf to name a few in honor of these creatures. I petition May 23rd to be the official Werewolf Appreciation Day from here on out.
