Create a National World War One Memorial on the National Mall to honor those who served in that war.

Created by J.P. on January 27, 2014

Millions of Americans served in World War One, with nearly 117,000 losing their lives in service to their country. Despite this, our nation's capitol still lacks a national memorial to honor those who served. The construction of a National Memorial, while serving the ultimate purpose of honoring our brave veterans, would also serve to employ many seeking work during its construction, and would help beautify the City of Washington in the process. We the signatories of this petition urge President Obama to push strongly for appropriate legislation to create a National World War One Memorial.
