We need a national standard for EMS care. A patient in one state should be allowed the same standard of emergency care nationwide. With the increase in emergency call volume and disaster relief needs, EMTs and Paramedics are crossing regional and state borders, but are unable to utilize the same scope of practice where they are called to help.
