Create an nationwide alternative standardized certification process for Bachelor's Degrees, similar to the GED.

Created by J.A. on November 26, 2013

Currently our nation's students face a daunting choice -- incur tens of thousands of dollars of student loan debt to attend a four-year institution or face the career marketplace without a bachelor's degree.

Today's technology makes a third choice available: what if students could acquire bachelors-equivalent knowledge from resources on the Internet and then take a government-certified standardized certification exam (similar to the GED, GRE, or professional exam such as the Bar or Medical Boards)? Many employers would choose to accept this certification as a qualification for an entry level professional position. America would expand its pool of qualified professional workers unburdened by student loans, and students from all economic levels would have an equal shot at their dreams.
