Businesses across the US suffer due to an excess of regulation. On the other hand, this leads to many loopholes that the worst-offending corporations can take advantage of at the public's expense.
Therefore, we propose nothing less than an addition of a "Business Bill of Rights and Responsibilities" to our US Constitution, establishing firm rights and responsibilities for American businesses. We also propose a "Business Death Penalty", under which corporations found to act against the public interest will be wound down.
We believe that clarifying the rights and responsibilities for American businesses will lead to a major reduction in needed regulatory frameworks and create jobs. This will also help resolve recent questions regarding the rights of business in American political life.
