Current policies allow Commands to take a sexual assault case to Non Judicial Punishment and most times not go to Court Martial. If someone is charged with article 120 and receives a Non Judicial Punishment he/she will NOT have to register as a sex offender. The President of the United States should enforce a new policy that all Sex Crimes go straight to Court Martial. And to allow local Police and Civilian Courts be involved with cases to actually receive justice. A NCIS agent in GA stated the Military does not have the experience or man power to handle Sex Crimes and to take it to Civilian Court if you want justice.
