We, the people of the United States, petition the Honorable President Obama and his administration to help create a newly modernized easily accessible Witness Protection Program for victims of White Collar crime and human traffiking.
It would differ from traditional Witness Protection in that the victim would be allowed to stay in their hometown with their families and friends. Also, they could request it very easily through the local police.
The local police would contact the federal government and upon quick confirmation of the crime, the victim would be offered a new name, social security number, and birth certificate and anything else needed. The victim could remain with families and friends.
We believe this new Witness Protection would preserve public safety and welfare.
