I petition the Obama Administration to push for a new federal holiday honoring American astronaut Neil Armstrong to take place on July 21 commemorating his famous moon walk. This holiday should serve to not only reflect on the historical significance of that day, but to draw attention to current developments and challenges in science and technology and inspire young people to pursue paths in those fields of study.
