Create new Federal laws concerning safety & security in schools. Including metal detectors and more resource officers.

The purpose of this petition is to get the Federal government to create a new law to ensure the safety and security of our schools. We need metal detectors at ALL schools for faculty,students,and visitors to go through before entering the school. We need more resource officers in schools. We need at least two in every school and more for larger schools. We need better security systems and procedures to prevent an intruder(s) from ever entering a school. There may need to be an increase in tax or school fees to cover this. Many of us are struggling financially but whatever the cost it'll be worth it to ensure the safety of our children and faculty. No parent should have to be terrified of sending their child to school. It's sad that such measures are necessary but they are necessary!
