Right now there is only two ways to get around this country: by air or on the road. Right now driving from one state to another is a long and dreaded task, especially through the breadbasket, and is an extremely gas consuming task. If a network of high-speed trains were built between the major cities this would greatly reduce the amount of time to travel. Not only that it will save a majority of American's a lot of money and it will create thousands of jobs to build, maintain and operate the trains.
