Create New Laws that provide Serious Penalties against politicians that Lie or Mislead with False Information.

Members of Parliament are Elected to "Represent" their constituents and when elected, they swear to uphold the law.
Far too often, many government officials (governors, senators etc), knowingly mislead the public with false information and lies that the public is often accepting and relying on as being the truth. The public relies on this information in order to make choices that affect their daily life and ultimate election choices.
Not nearly enough government officials are being held accountable for their actions and statements. It's bad enough "Fox News" and the like are able to mislead the public without consequences.
It's time all members of parliament are held accountable with serious penalties including jail sentences for misleading and lying to the public.
