Since the drug companies have abandoned the antibiotic segment of the pharmaceutical industry the federal government must step in and create new drugs. AMR is making previously treatable infections life threatening at an every increasing rate. We must combat this new threat with swift action before the situation becomes untenable. Only swift action by the government can bring enough critically needed resources to fight this new and emerging threat to our nation.
