create a new National Holiday: "Election Day."

Created by F.O. on April 18, 2016

Every election year, millions struggle to leave work to exercise their right to vote in the November Elections. If voters arrive early, they may be subject to employment tardiness if lines are long. After work, voters often find long voting lines as poll's begin to close, torn between a right to vote and a timely duty to family.
State governments are not subject to Federal Holidays, but often follow Federal lead regarding holidays. Regardless, Federal Offices along with banks, post offices, and other federally affiliated agencies would be closed promoting the opportunity of voters who otherwise would work or sit in an office waiting for federal service assistance.
A Federal Election Holiday will demonstrate that "Voting Rights Matter."
