If you click on the "OPEN PETITIONS" selection above, you'll see there are already 3 options: "All Petitions," "Trending," and "Popular." Unfortunately, none of them provides a quick, simple means of determining which petitions have a reasonably good chance of acquiring the 25,000 signatures needed for an official response.
This is one of the most important things we need to know because it can take a lot of time to read, research, and then decide whether or not to sign a petition - no matter how simple the issue might seem at first. For instance, why spend time on one such as "Make Elections Transparent and Verifiable," which expired after 30 days with only 2,000 and now looks like this:
