We, the people, submit that government is subject to the same privacy laws as its citizens, and what government can do, so can its citizens. We propose a constitutional amendment which gives government no right to infringe on the privacy of its citizens without equal rights of its citizens to do the same.
It is clear our government is overstepping its boundaries in terms of privacy. There is no clear law in the constitution protecting the privacy of this nation's citizens.
If government has access to private records by court order, so should its citizens by court order. If government wants to spy on citizens, so should citizens be able to survey each other according to the same rules government is subject. If this is not allowed to citizens, it should not be allowed to government.
