Create a non-political task force to recommend term limits for all elected federal offices.

Created by K.J. on January 14, 2013

If elected officials were certain that their public service would end, it is natural to believe that their decisions would be more in line with the priorities of ordinary citizens; knowing they would soon be citizens again and would be subject to the effects of their work.

If terms for all elected positions were limited, a more diverse set of citizens with fresh real-world experience would necessarily be represented in government.

As a term-limited elected official, the President should support limits as a means for decreasing partisanship and fostering practical solutions to the nation's problems.

Therefore, a geographically and socio-economically representative task force should be created to study and make recommendations for term limits for all elected federal offices.
