Well just so we are clear, since 1949 nuclear war has been a real problem, so with a space defense shield, we can actually protect America and its allies from a nuclear strike done by its enemies. Dont believe me, lets pretend its 2016 and Russia or China has launched a nuclear strike on US soil. How will America be able to defend itself with all the ABMs it has? No way, the nukes would be too many for our ABM silos in the Pacific. So that is one example as why the United States of America needs a nuclear space defense shield.
