Create the Obamacar program. Universal access to the safety and convenience of the driverless car. economic engine&jobs

Created by L.G. on August 15, 2014

In 2012, there were over 35,000 traffic fatalities (http://www.ntsb.gov/data/). Human error played a significant role in these fatalities, as did incidents such as heart attacks while driving. Driverless cars have the potential to eliminate these fatalities by eliminating human error or impaired driving.
Driverless cars could have a significant positive economic impact. They could make transportation much more highly accessible to populations that have not been served. Imagine a driverless car picking up an aging adult in a rural community for a doctor's appointment, where no busses are available. They enable more people to participate in the economy, getting to higher-paying jobs. Commute times will decrease, increasing productivity. Obamacar can take driverless cars to scale.
